ARDUINO UNO Q DREAM LAB CHALLENGE | OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A purchase will not improve your chances to win. Many will enter. Few will win.

  1. ELIGIBILITY: This Arduino Uno Q Dream Lab Challenge (the "Contest") is only open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry and who have a registered MyDigiKey account at digikey.com (a "myDK account"). Entrants must have a valid myDK account at the time of entry. Employees and contractors of Digi-Key Corporation ("DigiKey"), its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each of the above, are not eligible to enter or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. A person may not enter on behalf of another person, except in the case of assistance for a person with disabilities. Only one (1) entry per person. Shipping addresses must be within the United States.
  2. HOW TO ENTER: The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on July 13, 2026 , and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on September 30, 2026 (the "Contest Period"). To enter, you must complete the following steps during the Contest Period:
  3. Step 1: Build a project featuring the Arduino UNO Q board.

    Step 2: Publish your project on maker.io with the hashtag #UNOQDreamLab.

    Step 3: Complete the official submission form at the Contest website and provide the link to your finalized maker.io project. The submission form collects: email address, first name, last name, phone number, project link, and your answer to the question "If you won the Dream Lab, what would you do with it?" Entrants must be registered MyDK users and logged in to post on maker.io. Only one (1) entry per person and project is permitted. DigiKey is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, damaged, late, lost, stolen, misdirected, or undelivered entries. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated means will be void. By participating in this Contest, you agree to follow these Official Contest Rules. All entries must be received by the end of the Contest Period.

  4. JUDGING: On or about mid-September 2026, the marketing and technical team at DigiKey, with input from Arduino S.r.l. (collectively, the "Judges"), will score all eligible submissions received during the Contest Period. Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:
    • Creativity and Originality – 20%
    • Technical Execution – 20%
    • Effective Use of the Arduino UNO Q board – 20%
    • Quality of Project Documentation – 20%
    • Potential Impact and Innovation – 20%

    If there is a tie, the "Creativity and Originality" score will be used as the tiebreaker, followed by the "Technical Execution" score. The decisions of DigiKey and the Judges are final and binding in all respects. Winners will be announced in late September 2026. Winners will be notified by email and/or phone. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made within seven (7) business days from the first notification attempt, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.

  5. PRIZES: Four (4) Grand Prizes will be awarded. Each Grand Prize consists of one (1) "Dream Lab" package valued at approximately Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000), which includes professional bench equipment and development tools. Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $20,000. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent will be permitted, except at DigiKey’s sole discretion. DigiKey reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
  6. GENERAL RULES: All entries and prize claims become the property of DigiKey and will not be returned. The winner agrees that DigiKey may produce, use, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, publicize, publicly perform, translate, reformat, or otherwise edit or modify the submission, create derivative works from the submission, and publish the winner’s name, likeness, pseudonym, or other identifier in connection with the submission, in any and all media whether known now or later developed, without accounting to the winner for profits or other consideration.
  7. Representations and Warranties. By submitting an entry, each entrant represents and warrants that: (a) the entry is the entrant’s original work; (b) the entry was independently created and was not copied, in whole or in part, from any other work; (c) the entrant is the sole and exclusive owner of, or has all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit, the entry; (d) the entry does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right, right of publicity, right of privacy, or any other right of any third party; (e) the entry does not violate any applicable law, statute, ordinance, rule, or regulation; and (f) the entry does not contain any viruses, malware, or other harmful computer code.

    Indemnification. Each entrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DigiKey, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and the respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (i) the entrant’s submission or entry in the Contest; (ii) any breach of the entrant’s representations and warranties set forth herein; (iii) any claim that the entry infringes, misappropriates, or violates any intellectual property right or other right of any third party; (iv) any personal injury, death, or property damage arising from or related to the entry; or (v) any violation of applicable law by the entrant.

    Release of Liability. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts and agrees (i) to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of DigiKey and the Judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects, and (ii) to release the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participating in this Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the prize.

    Publicity Rights. Except where prohibited, entrants consent to the use by DigiKey and its designees of their names, photographs, likenesses, voices, and statements in connection with the Contest, including for the purpose of announcing the winners of the Contest without additional compensation, notification, or permission.

    DigiKey reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Contest website, violates these Official Contest Rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.

    CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THESE CONTEST RULES AND OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, DIGIKEY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

    Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest, which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries in this Contest. DigiKey reserves the right to modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Contest.

  8. PRIVACY: Information collected from entrants is subject to DigiKey’s Privacy Notice, which can be found at https://www.digikey.com/en/help/Privacy. Entrants should be aware that DigiKey may be collecting personally identifiable information about them in connection with the operation of the Contest. Subject to applicable law, DigiKey and DigiKey’s agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, or service providers may use entrants’ personal information submitted with entry for purposes of prize fulfillment, Contest administration, and, where entrant has provided separate consent, for future marketing communications by DigiKey. DigiKey will not sell personal information submitted with entry to third parties. Phone numbers collected are used solely for the purpose of contacting potential winners and will not be used for marketing purposes.
  9. DISPUTES: Each entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, and any judicial proceedings shall take place in a federal or state court within the State of Minnesota; (ii) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Contest Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and DigiKey in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Minnesota, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Minnesota or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Minnesota.
  10. IN NO EVENT SHALL DIGIKEY OR THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE TO ANY ENTRANT OR WINNER FOR DAMAGES THAT EXCEED THE VALUE OF THE PRIZE TO BE AWARDED TO ANY INDIVIDUAL ENTRANT IN THIS CONTEST.

  11. WINNERS LIST: For a list of winners (available after October 2026), send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: "Arduino UNO Q Dream Lab Challenge – Winners," DigiKey, 701 Brooks Avenue South, Thief River Falls, MN 56701. Requests must be received by December 31, 2026. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage on winners list requests. By participating in this Contest, you consent to the release of your name and the prize you won to any person requesting a winner’s list.
  12. ABBREVIATED RULES: The Contest website page containing a summary of the Contest terms and key details constitutes the "Abbreviated Rules." The Abbreviated Rules are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Abbreviated Rules and these Official Contest Rules, these Official Contest Rules shall control and prevail. These Official Contest Rules constitute the full and complete agreement relating to the Contest. In the event of any conflict between these Official Contest Rules and any other documents relating to the Contest, these Official Contest Rules shall prevail.
