AVR Series Multilayer Chip Varistors
TDK’s AVR series chip varistors for ESD protection
TDK's AVR series chip varistors have excellent absorption capability with a response that is as good or better than a Zener diode. A single AVR series part can replace a Zener diode and capacitor combination, reducing the overall footprint and total mounting cost. AVR series parts have no polarity due to symmetrical current-voltage characteristics and keep this symmetrical current-voltage characteristic even after electrostatic absorption. The AVR series offers a wide range of varistor voltages (from 6.8 V to 90 V) and is available in a variety of case sizes (from 0.4 mm x 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm) for consumer and automotive applications.
