What makes the SLB better is the negative electrode. The negative electrode is the anode in a Lithium-Ion battery. This means that the cathode goes through electrolyte oxidation. The conventional battery uses a Lithium carbonate negative electrode, the SLB from Nichicon uses a revolutionary cathode material made of lithium titanate (LTO). This allows for special characteristics that mean a safer battery.
